Do we have your money?
We are holding approximately £10k of unclaimed client balances. They represent sums left on our account at the conclusion of transactions undertaken on behalf of clients, or perhaps where payments made on behalf of clients have not been not been cashed or have been returned.
The majority of these balances are more than 10 years old, but there are a handful of more recent ones. The most recent is 2008.
About 53 clients ledgers show unclaimed balances. The largest is nearly £700.
We have attempted to trace the clients in question. We have written in each case to the last known addresses, undertaken internet searches and employed an enquiry agent. We have also used the Deptartment of Work and Pensions' letter-forwarding service.
If we have written to you about this, or if you think we may be holding funds on your account following the completion of work we have undertaken on your behalf, please contact us immediately. We'd love to return your money to you!

We will need to verify your identity and that you are the rightful owner of the funds.
If we are unable to trace the clients in question then we shall seek the permission of the Solicitors' Regulation Authority to donate the funds to a registered charity. This will be on terms that if the rightful owner is subsequently found then the charity will return the donation.
